Playstation 3 Is Going To Support Three-dimensional Blu-ray

I just hit my head around the ceiling after reading this: The Blu-ray Disc Association has announced that the PS3 will likely be completely compatible with 3D standards. It's amazing news for Playstation 3 owners, who won't need to shell out cash for a fresh player for 3D motion pictures. According within the newly-released specs, Sony's console will play movement pictures in 3D 1080p, though working with any and each type of 3D display. That includes LCD, plasma and projection in full HD, while allowing for 2D playback on both present and 3D players. Adding towards fun will almost certainly be 3D menus and navigation, giving PS3 proprietors the complete futuristic experience.

The crazier aspect is the fact that most current Blu-ray players will not support 3D.
